Gemius SA's cooperation with non-governmental organizations in Poland.

2004

  • Cooperation with the Polish Humanitarian Organisation is established. By virtue of the contract, Gemius SA conducts free gemiusTraffic research on the web site - www.pah.org.pl. The organization's web site is one of its basic external communication tools. The results of the gemiusTraffic research provide detailed data on traffic on the web site and allow for the optimization of interactive solutions. The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity and The Friends of Integration Association web sites are also monitored constantly and free of charge.
  • Gemius SA takes part in the “Child in the Web” campaign and conducts research on children’s safe use of the Internet for the Nobody's Children Foundation. “Teaching children, parents and guardians how to safely use the Internet is, as a consequence of the dynamic development of the medium in Poland, one of the most important aspects of social responsibility for all of us.” said Artur Zawadzki, Gemius SA's vice-president.

2005

  • Three companies - Gemius SA, stat24 (formerly stat.pl) and Polskie Badania Internetu take part in a mutual project - foundations registered as non-governmental organizations can conduct ad campaigns on the Internet free of charge. The main aim of the initiative is to support social projects of non-profit organizations and to promote socially valuable behavioral patterns. The cooperation of the companies with the foundations started in February with a campaign for the Nobody's Children Foundation for the international “Safe Internet Day”.
  • Gemius SA works with the ITAKA Foundation, the FDF-"Children's Fantasies Fulfilled", Amnesty International, The St. Nicolas Foundation and the Federation of Polish Food Banks. Between February 2, 2005 and January 22, 2006 almost 30 million advertisements are emitted. The average number of emissions for a single campaign was 1.36 million. Each campaign reached an average of 1.2 million users (cookies). There was a minimum of 7,152 and a maximum of 209,836 users (cookies) who came into direct contact with a social advertisement on a daily basis.

2006

  • Gemius SA, as a partner of the 5th edition of the “Child-friendly world” contest, conducted a public opinion survey on parents' attitudes towards the purchasing of products for their children. The analysis was based on answers from 985 respondents, parents of children aged 0-12. The main aim of the survey was to find out the parents' habits and preferences connected with their shopping habits for their children.
  • The second phase of the Polish social campaign “Child in the Web” started under the motto “The Internet is a window to the world. The whole world”. The results of Gemius SA’s research call attention to the frequent contact children and teenagers have with potentially harmful content on the Internet, such as pornography, violence, xenophobia and racism.
  • The company has cooperated with foundations on a regular basis. From 2006 to February 2007, Gemius SA helped organizations in 27 Internet social campaigns.

2007

  • The publication of the first research results on cyber-violence in Poland. Gemius SA’s report: “Peer violence and electronic media” was prepared in cooperation with the Nobody's Children Foundation.
  • Gemius SA started cooperating with SOS Children’s Villages International. Surveys on the transferring of 1% of one’s income tax for non-governmental organizations was conducted in the framework of the cooperation. The results will help the foundation in its future advertising campaigns, which are connected with the “1% campaign”. In addition, the foundation's ads were displayed on web sites, which are monitored by stat.pl/PBI, and the effectiveness of the campaign was measured in gemiusDirectEffect.
  • The “Responsible business in Poland 2006. Good practices” report was announced on March 26, 2007. The report is a summary of companies’ involvement  in implementing the rules of responsible business as well as the initiatives of organizations that shape conditions for business activity in this field. The report also deals with “The Internet for social campaigns” project, which describes Gemius SA's cooperation with non-governmental organizations.
